Milaythina Rrala

We are proud to celebrate the work of Bonnie Starick, whose work, Milaythina Rrala, frames our website.

In Bonnie’s statement for her work, Milaythina Rrala, she explains that the artwork explores themes of land and typography. “It reflects my deep connection to my Country and my appreciation for being immersed in my culture and Community.”

Milaythina Rrala/strong Country, represents the core of our purpose and our values.

Bonnie is a Pakana woman of the Trulwulway nation from the Country of Lumaranatana. Her bloodlines come from a long line of strong women – grandmothers Emmerenna, Wathikawitja and Nandergoroke (Bunurong). Bonnie continues to live in Lutruwita with my family and enjoys getting outdoors with her children, where she shares our cultural knowledge and teaches them about our cultural practices.

Our Work

With less than 1% of Tasmania's landmass returned as Aboriginal land, everyone knows that more needs to be done.

Giving Land Back is our invitation for your support, to help return private freehold land into Aboriginal ownership.
